Last week, Vehicle Weighing Solutions exhibited at the CV Show at the NEC in Birmingham and VOPS™2 was the star of the show.  Almost every visitor to the stand wanted to talk to us about fitting an overload protection system to the smaller vehicles in their fleet.  

​

Once overlooked, vans are now a hot topic and there appears to be a massive shift in attitude towards achieving compliance  - including safe and legal loading.

​

Our team were on hand to discuss the options available with operators and the show proved to be a great way to take VOPS™2 to the industry.

Whilst the manufacturer categories compare vehicles across a number of core fleet criteria, including payload, safety, technology, running costs, fuel efficiency, reliability and aftersales service, the supplier categories are also open to companies supplying products and services to commercial vehicle fleets, and reward great service and innovation.

Oxford City Council have installed VOPS™2 on a number of their 3.5 tonne vehicles including vans and caged tippers. Ian Bourton, Waste, Recycling and Fleet Manager at the local authority says that the overload protection system has been "well adopted by drivers" and is positively seen as a tool to help them "stay safe and compliant". 

As well as VOPS™2 being fitted on some of the fleet's smaller vehicles, ENVIROWEIGH bin weighing and LOADWEIGH underbody weighing is fitted to the council's fleet of refuse collection vehicles.

Last week, Vehicle Weighing Solutions exhibited at the annual Tip-ex tipper exhibition at the Harrogate International Centre in Yorkshire.  The busy event was an opportunity for the team to meet vehicle operators from across the UK and Ireland and discuss vehicle weighing solutions suitable for their vehicles.

A number of operators expressed interest in the award-winning VOPS2 vehicle and axle overload protection system, launched by VWS within the last 12 months.  The overload protection system is suitable for use on most vehicles, but it gained momentum at the Tip-ex show from van operators looking for ways to improve their vehicle and driver compliance - and ultimately, safety.

The CV Show has just closed its doors for another year and this year's event has been a great success for Vehicle Weighing Solutions. The recently launched VOPS™2 overload protection system has generated so much interest and it was great to see so many vehicle operators looking for a system to keep their vehicles and drivers loaded safely and legally.

This week, at the busiest annual fleet management show in the UK, Maxi-Low displayed the award-winning VOPS™2 vehicle overload protection system, from VWS, on their demonstration vehicle.  Converted into a mobile demonstration office and hospitality unit, the custom light-weigh vehicle had an M350S display installed for visitors to see the technology in action.
